Q: Describe your role within the firm.
A: I spend most of my time working with, supporting, coaching and tracking performance of all segment 1 and 2 Financial Advisors across Canada.

Q: Describe how your division contributes to the firm's success.
A: We ensure that Financial Advisors receive appropriate support and have the resources to become successful.

Q: What year did you start at Edward Jones? What year did you start in your current position?
A: I started in 1998 and have been in this position since 2004.

Q: What did you do prior to joining Edward Jones?
A: I’ve worked in the financial services industry for 19 years – in both institutional sales and retail sales positions.

Q: Are there any memorable experiences you’d like to share that encapsulate or typify what it’s like to work for Edward Jones?
A: In my current position and when I was in Sales Training, you're always in a position where Financial Advisors are reaching out for assistance in one way or another. I always make sure I do everything possible to help that person to the best of my ability.

Q: Describe the culture at Edward Jones and how it’s different from your previous job. What is unique?
A: Edward Jones is a great firm to be with. Because the firm is continuously growing, there are always new opportunities coming up. Employees are treated well. All our activities here at home office always reflect on how we can better support our Financial Advisors out in the field. And that would in return reflect in better customer service and satisfaction.

Q: What does the firm being a partnership mean to you?
A: It means a great deal. We're all working toward a common goal and the harder we work and the more goals we accomplish, the greater the potential for financial increase.

Q: Before you came to Edward Jones, what did the name mean to you? And after you came on board?
A: It meant a small conservative investment firm dealing with individual investors. After I came on board I was very impressed with the support the new Financial Advisors received before, during and after training. Not just home office support, but other Financial Advisors out in the field reaching out to help. It’s also very different that we have the clients' best interest at heart. We always do what's best for the client and we truly believe that if we work hard everything will fall into place.

Q: Articulate the spirit of volunteerism that exists at Jones. How have you been involved and what was that experience like?
A: Veteran Financial Advisors participate in the classrooms for support. Mentors, new financial advisor support specialists, telephone shop coordinators, regional leaders, field trainers and financial advisor development always there to support and ensure proper support and resources are provided.

Q: Do you feel there are opportunities for advancement and greater income potential at Edward Jones?
A: I do feel there are opportunities. Hard work is recognized and rewarded.

Q: What qualities do you think a person needs to have to succeed in the home office environment?
A: You have to be willing to work hard, work in a team environment to support each other and you should be willing to accept changes for the better.

Q: How do you see your future at Edward Jones unfolding?
A: I see many opportunities for me at Edward Jones as the firm continues to grow at home office or out in the field.

Q: As you go through your daily activities, how do you know you’ve achieved success at Edward Jones?
A: When I feel I have truly helped the Financial Advisors with any requests they may have to enable them to service their clients better. It’s really about client satisfaction

Q: What has the firm's growth meant for leadership opportunities?
A: Growth at the firm has opened up many opportunities for home office associates as well as Financial Advisors out in the field coming into home office in managing positions.
