Q: Describe your role within the firm. A: I work to help our Financial Advisors better serve the client by providing banking products and services for the serious long-term investor. Q: What year did you start at Edward Jones? What year did you start in your current position? A: I came to the firm in 2001 and took the position in banking services in 2007. Q: What did you do prior to joining Edward Jones? A: I spent seven years with the Canadian Bankers Association focused on securities regulation, education, training and consulting. Q: Are there any memorable experiences you’d like to share that encapsulate or typify what it’s like to work for Edward Jones? A: Getting out there and doing client seminars for our Financial Advisors. It was refreshing to be face-to-face with clients and potential clients intent on improving their financial lives. Q: Describe the culture at Edward Jones and how it’s different from your previous job. What is unique? A: It's all about partnership – we partner with our clients, our associates, our product and service vendors, and we do it for the long term. The Edward Jones “system” is woven together rather well. My first impressions of this firm: fast, flat and focused on the client, the serious long term client. Q: What does the firm being a partnership mean to you? A: We all seem to be tugging in the right direction and working better and better to be able to do that. Partnership is an amazing way to mechanize teamwork, at all levels, internally and externally.
