Ongoing and Applicable Training Throughout Your Career

Depending on your level of experience, you may participate in training sessions that will complement your knowledge and production level.

Your experience level will determine the amount of training:

Limited Experience - Series 7 licensed with less than six months client-facing experience and limited business development experience

You'll spend one week training in St. Louis or Tempe.

This training will help you develop a better understanding of:

  • The securities business
  • Our firm's philosophy
  • Our business model
  • Client needs
  • Key investments

You'll also participate in an introduction to Edward Jones technology and information systems.

This will be followed by seven weeks of hands-on training in your target location, followed by an additional week in St. Louis or Tempe. The determination of which training process best suits you will ultimately be based on your individual qualifications, background and experience.

Moderate Experience - Series 7 licensed with at least six months client-facing experience

You'll spend one week training in St. Louis or Tempe. This training will help you develop a deeper understanding of:

  • The securities business
  • Our firm's philosophy
  • Our business model
  • Client needs
  • Key investments

You'll also participate in a more detailed introduction to Edward Jones technology and information systems. Based upon your individual background and experience, you'll also attend specialized breakout sessions.

Next, you'll spend seven weeks training in your target location, followed by one week in St. Louis or Tempe, where you'll again participate in special breakout sessions based on your experience and background.

During your initial training period, you'll have the ability to place orders and will be given ample time to contact, serve and transfer your existing clients to your Edward Jones business.

Considerable Experience - 3+ years, trailing 12-month gross production of $250,000 or more and over $30 million in assets under care
