Financial Advisor Development

Location: St. Louis

Edward Jones has brought investing to the individual investor by establishing a vast network of branch offices in the local communities where our clients live and work. Our Financial Advisor Development division is a member of our Branch Development Group, which oversees the recruiting, training and development of all branch personnel (Financial Advisors and their administrative assistants) and includes other divisions: Branch Administration and Branch Recruiting, Hiring and Training.

Having typically one Financial Advisor and a full time support person (Branch Office Administrator - BOA) in each office is unique compared to other major securities firms in the United States. We, however, feel it’s the reason for our more personalized service and therefore largely responsible for our remarkable growth. Currently, we have over 10,000 branch offices in the United States, and through our affiliates in Canada and the United Kingdom.

As a Financial Advisor Development associate, you will assist and coach our Financial Advisors as they progress through five separate “business building” segments. From conducting role-playing exercises to devising and conducting workshops, professionals in this area ensure that our Financial Advisors have the support and resources they need to become and remain successful.

Key Qualifications Include:

Series 7, 63/66 and Insurance licenses
Series 24 for General Partners
Strong verbal communication and listening skills
Two-plus years of sales or sales management experience, or coaching experience with a successful track record or three-plus years of Edward Jones experience is preferred.
Strong decision making abilities
Ability to communicate, assess / advise over the phone (distance leadership and guidance)
Accomplished presentation and workshop facilitation skills
Graduate degree in a financial or business-related field is preferred
