Division Description
Our Legal division professionals strategically partner with firm business leaders to pioneer solutions that will advance the firm's goals, while complying with the myriad laws, rules and regulations which apply to the financial services industry.

The Legal division is responsible for providing legal services, representation and advice to Edward Jones. As such, it handles litigation, including arbitrations and lawsuits as well as regulatory investigations. Certain advice and counsel that Legal provides includes rule interpretation regarding all aspects of Edward Jones business. The Legal division's duties also include contract negotiations and drafting as well as general partnership and corporate advice.

Attorneys in the Legal division also provide an accurate assessment of risk, as well as take on a strategic, big-picture role anticipating and managing risks in a changing and demanding industry. The Legal division represents and advises the firm with regard to legal and regulatory issues in all 50 states, Canada and the United Kingdom.
