Division Description
Our Operations division serves as a critical link between our clients and our network of branch offices. As an associate in this division, you will partner with our Financial Advisors to deliver timely and accurate client information and account processing. All transactions in a client's account are processed through Operations.

Specific division responsibilities include: processing client-related paperwork, answering calls and communications from our branch offices regarding specific products and processes, and reconciling all account matters.

This department oversees the coordination and verification of all monthly client statements.

Customer Account Transfer         
Associates in this department process account transfers and direct rollovers into and out of Edward Jones and to and from brokerage firms, banks, trust companies and transfer agents.

End User Computing         
End User Computing associates partner with Operations end users to leverage processes tools and technology to increase productivity, quality and service, while decreasing costs and cycle time.

Key Qualifications Include:

• General knowledge of at least one data query tool such as Focus, DB2, SQL, Crystal Reports, Monarch, VBA, spreadsheets, databases, infoparser, or Hyperion

Security Receives         
Security Receives is responsible for: receiving and processing securities from our branch offices; routing securities to the proper departments for processing; wiring branch offices for documents necessary to negotiate incoming securities; and researching securities which are late in transit from the branch. Other areas of concentration include: sold not long trade problems; control/restricted stock; employee stock option exercises; reorg deposits and payments; private security liquidations; unit trust liquidations; and LP tender offers and registrations.

Cash Reconciliation/Internal Control         
Cash Reconciliation associates oversee the timely bank account reconciliation of all funds processed through our Branch Cashiering System. Control associates ensure timely and accurate account balances and controls through reconciliation, research and correction with emphasis on facilitating the training and input necessary to prevent further occurrences.

Cash Receipts         
This department oversees the opening of all branch bank accounts, reconciling bank statements, coordinating with banks, the overall control functions of branch cashiering, processing bearer coupons (not held in firm name), and incoming wired funds.

Mutual Funds         
This department consists of:

Mutual Funds Control and Support - Assumes responsibility for processing and maintaining the record keeping in the SuRPAS system for firm name accounts for the preferred mutual fund families, Alliance and MFS.

Mutual Funds Networking - Oversees the distribution of networked dividend payments, research requests, transfers in and out of firm name for networked, ACAT fails, and CDSC lot updates.

Mutual Funds Reconciliation - Balances and reconciles firm name client accounts and house accounts as well as the omnibus accounts for our preferred fund families.

Mutual Funds Trades Processing - Assumes responsibility for processing orders, cancels, redemptions, liquidations and direct investments.

Associates in this department support all processing related to trust accounts administered through the trust company, which does not include trust accounts registered under the broker/dealer.
