This division oversees the reviewing and approval all of the investments that Edward Jones broadly markets to its clients in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. At Edward Jones, we are committed to a long-term philosophy that emphasizes quality and diversification. Our Financial Advisors assist clients regarding: Retirement; Education; Estate Considerations & Edward Jones Trust Services*; Stocks; Fixed Income Investments; Mutual Funds; Annuities; Banking Services; and Insurance.

As an area analyst here, you will conduct due diligence to help ensure investments are sound, consistent with the firm's investment philosophy, and appropriate for our individual-investor clients. Oftentimes our investment philosophy is characterized by what we won’t do as much as by what we will do. We are not afraid to say no to the following: Penny Stocks; Commodities, High Risk Bonds: Young, Unproven Companies; Timing the Market; and Online Trading; if it means helping our clients develop a strategy to help reach their long term financial goals.

Key Qualifications Include:

• Deep understanding of financial accounting, investment advisory industry and financial offerings, and taxes
  
  
• Solid knowledge of economic, statistical and investment concepts
  
  
• Strong critical thinking skills
  
  
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
  
  
• Proficiency in financial modeling, spreadsheets, databases, and other relevant software programs
  
  
• Professional certifications eventually required (CFA)
