Q: Describe your role within the firm.
A: I convert branch offices to a new high-speed network.

Q: Describe how your division contributes to the firm's success.
A: IS provides the tools and applications that allow our branch associates to serve their clients.

Q: What year did you start at Edward Jones? What year did you start in your current position?
A: I started at Edward Jones in 1994, when there were only 3,200 Jones branches in the U.S. I took on my new responsibilities in 2006.

Q: Are there any memorable experiences you’d like to share that encapsulate or typify what it’s like to work for Edward Jones?
A: I have had the opportunity to visit many branch offices through my years of working at Edward Jones. I am constantly amazed by the wonderful bond our branch associates have with their clients. They are always on a first name basis, and the clients are usually smiling as they enter the office. Edward Jones provides more than just investment advice, they build relationships.

Q: Describe the culture at Edward Jones and how it’s different from your previous job. What is unique?
A: At Edward Jones, there is a strong sense of teamwork. All associates, whether in technology, finance, marketing, or a branch, understand that we work toward the same goal – supporting our customers, the serious long-term investors.

Q: One area Edward Jones prides itself is enabling our associates to maintain a strong work-life balance. How does this approach impact you?
A: Flex hours allow you to be there for your family when needed, while remote access provides you the ability to stay caught up on your tasks if you are unable to make it into the office.

Q: What does the firm being a partnership mean to you?
A: The partnership allows us, as associates, to be owners in a growing firm. It also means that management decisions are usually well thought-out and executed as it affects the profitability of not only the firm, but all the partners as well.

Q: Do you think Edward Jones has taken good care of you in terms of overall compensation package, including medical benefits, vacation time, retirement planning and salary?
A: I feel Edward Jones offers a very competitive compensation package. Besides salary, benefits and vacation time, Edward Jones also offers profit sharing and the chance to invest as a limited partner.

Q: Do you feel there are opportunities for advancement and greater income potential at Edward Jones?
A: Edward Jones is a growing company with visions of expanding into new countries. Because of this, there are an ever-increasing number of advancement opportunities and increased earning potential at Jones.

Q: What qualities do you think a person needs to have to succeed in the home office environment?
A: The people who succeed in the home office possess the ability to work well with people and enjoy a fast paced and constantly changing and growing environment.

Q: How do you see your future at Edward Jones unfolding?
A: I would like to one day be invited to become a general partner and be among the next generation of leaders to continue the Edward Jones tradition of providing superior service and investment advice to our clients.

Q: As you go through your daily activities, how do you know you’ve achieved success at Edward Jones?
A: Success can come in many forms. Whether it's accomplishing a task, correcting a branch issue, or completing a challenging project, I feel I have been very successful at Edward Jones.

Q: There are very few offices at Edward Jones, with nearly all the firm's leaders located in cubicals. What does this structure mean to you?
A: The fact that there are very few offices at Edward Jones and no reserved parking spots shows me that associates are valued just as much as leaders.

Q: How has the firm supported your professional growth via training opportunities?
A: Edward Jones provides several training options both in-house and external. I was able to achieve my Masters degree through the support of their reimbursement program.
