Edward Jones recently released its fourth-annual Purpose, Inclusion and Citizenship Report, “Partnering for Positive Impact.” The report showcases the firm’s year-end 2021 achievements and how it works together to improve the lives of its clients and colleagues, and together, better its communities and society. In 2021, the firm furthered a place of belonging for its associates and advanced its diverse representation goals, educated more than 175,000 individuals through its Financial Fitness program and donated more than $26 million to 259 organizations through corporate, Edward Jones Foundation and philanthropic giving.
In 2022, Edward Jones also was named to Fortune magazine’s 2022 list of the World’s Most Admired Companies and, in 2021, was ranked as a Best Workplace in the Financial Services and Insurance Industry. “Best Companies’ leadership has never been more necessary,” said Michael C. The Human Rights Campaign Foundation is the educational arm of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) people. For the 12th time, Edward Jones Ranks “Highest in Employee Advisor Satisfaction Among Financial Investment Firms” by J.D. Power.
Based on responses from Edward Jones financial advisors, the firm earned an overall score of 890 points out of 1,000. This compared to the average score of 743 among the eight employee-channel firms measured by the J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Financial Advisor Satisfaction Study.

Between January and April 2021, financial advisors were asked to rate their firms in terms of leadership and culture, products and marketing, professional development, operational support, technology, and compensation. Edward Jones ranked No. 1 in products and marketing, compensation and professional development.

Since forming in Spring 2020, the Edward Jones Parental/COVID-19 Taskforce has acted as a key listening post and strategy team advocating for the needs of associates, their families and working in a remote environment. The 20-member taskforce, with representatives from multiple areas of the firm, has created critical policies, programs and solutions that provide support for navigating pandemic-related issues in five areas: workplace flexibility, time off, dependent care and educational support for children, health and wellness, and financial support.

Rankings are based primarily on parents’ scores of trust and fairness across the company culture, including levels of trust, pride, management effectiveness, innovation, diversity and equity. The analysis focused on how parents’ workplace experiences compare to those of their non-working colleagues and determining whether their job level, race/ethnicity or any personal characteristic changed the level of support they received as a working parent. Finally, each company’s parental leave, adoption, flexible schedule, childcare and dependent health care benefits were evaluated.
