As a financial advisor with Edward Jones, you’ll develop and grow your own practice, supported by a deeply rooted network of more than 20,000 fellow financial advisors – who have been where you are – as well as a home office team and a branch support model that gives you a team you can lean on. Great news! Edward Jones will pay for you to study for your required licensing and provides you a study specialist and personalized support to help you ace your industry exams. To be a licensed financial advisor, you will need to pass your Securities Industry Essential or SIE exam, the Series 7 exam, and the Series 66 exam. Edward Jones financial advisors also must complete state insurance licensing requirements.

During your initial onboarding, you will receive hourly compensation so you can focus on studying for your registration exams and learning business building strategies. During this time, you can expect to study a minimum of 40 hours a week.

We understand that building a business takes time. So while you’re learning the skills, systems, and business practices to grow your client relationships, we will support you with up to five years of supplemental salary. You’ll also earn commissions and will be rewarded for your hard work with profit sharing and trimester bonuses. You’ll receive recognition for your contributions with travel awards and with time, the opportunity to become a limited partner.
