Some problems that the position will face are recurring and similar in nature; however, many are unpredictable and of a diverse nature with potentially severe consequences. As a result, the position has discretion to propose new solutions not previously applied in previous situations.
Example 1: Required to prevent security incidents, improve safety, and reduce loss. He or she would statistically track incidents, identify trends and make recommendations to area leadership for the application of security resources.
Example 2: Required to examine and assess a security threat using a set of recognized but subjective criteria. He or she would then review the data, assess the risk and determine appropriate strategies to mitigate the risk. Risk assessment information is not easily found and must be obtained through interviews and research.
Decision Making:
The level of authority for making decisions and the degree of risk involved – High
Due to the scope and nature of Global Security Services’ (GSS) mission, GSS leaders and associates are required to make decisions that have a potential for adverse consequences. Many of those decisions are proactively made and the results of planning while others are reactive and have to be made instantly.
A poor decision made by GSS can result in a loss of an external client, legal action, negative publicity or damage to our reputation, disruption of business operations and monetary loss or harm to another individual. Typically, GSS leaders would work within written policy to make most decisions and work with internal and external clients to resolve negative consequences. GSS leaders dealing with atypical situations would be required to work creatively to make decisions working with teams; senior managers; local, state and federal law enforcement and other emergency agencies; regulatory agencies and external supervisors and managers.
Example 1: The position is armed and carries significant responsibilities relative to the possible use of deadly force. He or she, when faced with the threat of deadly force, would be required to make split second decisions to protect his or her own life and/or the lives of others—fully considering the consequences associated with that decision, e.g., the safety of uninvolved persons.
Span of Influence:
The breadth and depth of work performed – High.
The position may lead both other leaders and associates and provides oversight to contractors. It has responsibilities that span multiple campuses and all branch offices in the United States and Canada.
Interaction will be with all levels of the firm but will primarily involve branch teams and their Area and Regional Leaders.
They are also responsible for the safety and security of building occupants that likely may include visitors and clients.

When it comes to your compensation, we want to be clear.
#1 Your performance drives your compensation – and we won’t limit it with earning caps. Not now, not ever.
#2 Our compensation is competitive and multi-faceted. Commissions and trimester bonuses – based on individual branch and firm profitability – make up the bulk of your variable income. But your total payout may include travel awards and profit sharing. And the opportunity to be rewarded for transitioning client relationships to financial advisors looking to grow.
#3 Our compensation is simple and transparent. We make it easy to understand how you are rewarded and strive to minimize grid changes. You know exactly what to expect and how to impact your results.
Our partnership structure frees you to focus on your clients.
Being a partnership makes us distinctly different from our competitors. More than a structure, it’s a mindset. And it permeates every aspect of our business. From how we work with each other – think collaboration not competition – to our long-term investment philosophy. It’s most at work in our shared focus on doing what’s right for the client. And it’s easy for us to do. Because we have no competing interests. No shareholders clamoring for short-term profits. We can take the long view, because we only answer to our clients. And to ourselves. Our financial advisors find this single-minded focus freeing. A clear mandate for success. And a clear path to get there.

Transitioning your practice is a difficult decision. We’re here to help.
Moving your practice to another firm may be the most stressful decision of your professional life. We understand. And our transition team is here to help.
