In 2022, Edward Jones invested $1 billion in technology infrastructure, digital initiatives, and virtual business enablement tools. We’re currently in the test-and-learn phase and are looking for talented, motivated professionals, that want to be part of this transformational journey. The position will support the stability of new technology platforms supporting Edward Jones’s application platform. This position will support strategic firm initiatives and contribute to defining and building the observability and stability patterns supporting product roadmaps. The role is expected to follow architectural best practices and, build scale and efficiencies that enable future business growth.
This role will join our Platform As A Service team which is responsible for building and maintaining our on-premises Kubernetes platform. This involves a mix of platform enhancement efforts, regular maintenance tasks, and working directly with application teams to provide support and guidance as they deploy to our platform.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide support for our Kubernetes platform in all environments, ensuring continuous service and stability of the platform for our users.
- Provide 24/7 support for systems in all environments, ensuring continuous service and stability of the platform for our users.
- Contribute to the team’s work by participating in team events and meetings.
- Provide excellent service to our users by responding to their requests correctly within our defined SLA.
- Develop automation to improve the work of the team and our users’ experiences of our platforms.
