Job Overview
Position Schedule: Full-Time
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Corporate Actions and GIC Process Generalist to join our operations team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of a wide range of corporate action events and GIC transactions while supporting overall operational efficiency and client service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile corporate action events including mandatory and voluntary reorganizations, mergers spinoffs, dividends and rights offering
- Manage end-to-end GIC processing including issuances, maturities and redemptions
- Review and validate corporate action notification and ensure entitlement calculations
- Connect with Internal Teams (tax, compliance, service) to ensure proper handling and escalation of examples transactions
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies and exceptions in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records and support audit and reporting requirements

Skills/Requirements
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in corporate actions processing within a financial institution broker dealer or custodial environment
- Demonstrated hands on experience with mandatory and voluntary corporate action transaction types
- Working knowledge of GIC products and fixed income processing
- Familiarity with industry platforms and settlement systems (e.g. DTCC, CDS, DTC, or equivalent)
- Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with back-office or operational systems is an asset
- Experience with REOR or similar reorganization processing systems
- Exposure to dividend reinvestment and DRIP processing workflows
- Knowledge of tax implications related to corporate action events
