Edward Jones has been named one of the 100 Companies That Care, ranking No. 37 overall on the Great Place to Work® and People magazine list (published August 2022).
The ranking is a positive reflection of Edward Jones’ commitment to purpose — to partner for positive impact to improve the lives of clients and colleagues, and together, better our communities and society. Shared purpose is one of many ways Edward Jones builds a great workplace, and associates agree: the data as of August 2021, showed that 91% of Edward Jones associates said it is a great place to work compared to 57% of employees at a typical U.S.-based company.
Edward Jones aims to create a unique culture of caring, where clients come first and associates support one another through coaching and collaboration.
“Our culture of support is so deep that it can be difficult to explain,” said Edward Jones Financial Advisor Mike Fessler. “This is a place where people care about you and care about your success.”
Great Place to Work based its ranking on a data-driven methodology applied to a confidential survey of more than 1 million respondents who work at Great Place to Work—certified organizations. Survey statements collectively described a great associate experience, defined as high levels of trust, respect, credibility, fairness, pride and camaraderie. Responses were compared across generations.
This is a place where people care about you.
-Mike Fessler, Edward Jones Financial Advisor

Survey data analysis, company-provided data points and essay evaluation results are factored into a combined score to compare and rank companies on how their workplaces have made a difference in employees’ lives and in the broader community. Many companies survey every employee, far surpassing the minimum threshold of 5,000. Rankings also reflect the generosity of each organization’s benefits, philanthropic and community support, with particular focus on activities occurring in the last year.
